How to fix an old iPad that won’t turn on
1. Force restart the iPad. Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
2. Check the charging port. Make sure that the charging port is clear of debris and that the cable is properly plugged in.
3. Try a different cable or charger. If you don’t have a different cable or charger, try borrowing one from a friend or family member.
4. Restore the iPad to factory settings. If all else fails, you may need to restore the iPad to factory settings. This will erase all of your data, so be sure to back up your iPad before you do this.
