How to Lock an iPad Screen from Touch for Tracing
Whether you’re an artist, a student, or just someone who needs to keep their iPad screen from being accidentally touched, there are a few different ways to lock it. In this article, we’ll show you how to lock your iPad screen from touch using the built-in features of iOS, as well as a few third-party apps.
Here are the steps:
1. Tap the Settings app on your iPad.
2. Tap Accessibility.
3. Tap Touch.
4. Toggle Guided Access on.
5. Tap Start.
6. Draw a shape around the area of the screen that you want to be locked.
7. Tap Done.
Your iPad screen will now be locked to the area that you drew. You can still use the touchscreen to interact with the elements inside the shape, but you won’t be able to touch anything outside of it.
To unlock the screen, press the Home button three times.

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center.

Step 4: Unlock the Screen
1. Triple-click the
Home
button.
2. Enter your passcode.
3. The screen will be unlocked and you will be able to interact with it again.
Note:
You can also lock the screen by using the
AssistiveTouch
feature. To do this, open the
Settings
app and tap
Accessibility

AssistiveTouch
. Tap the
Turn On
switch to turn on AssistiveTouch. Then, tap the
AssistiveTouch
button and select
Lock Screen
.
