To take a screenshot on an iPad
press the top button and the Home button simultaneously. Alternatively
on iPad models without a Home button
press the top button and the volume up button at the same time. The screenshot will be saved to the Photos app.
Use the Apple Notes app to quickly jot down ideas, thoughts, and to-do lists. You can also record audio, add images, and create checklists.
How to Tell What Generation iPad You Have
1. Look at the model number.
2. If it starts with A, it’s a first-generation iPad.
3. If it starts with B, it’s a second-generation iPad.
4. If it starts with C, it’s a third-generation iPad.
5. If it starts with D, it’s a fourth-generation iPad.
6. If it starts with E, it’s a fifth-generation iPad.
7. If it starts with F, it’s a sixth-generation iPad.
8. If it starts with G, it’s a seventh-generation iPad.
9. If it starts with H, it’s an eighth-generation iPad.
10. If it starts with J, it’s a ninth-generation iPad.
To turn off messages on your iPad, open the Settings app and tap Messages. Then, tap Send & Receive and turn off Text Message Forwarding.
How to turn off restrictions on iPad
1. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions.
2. Enter your passcode.
3. Toggle off Content & Privacy Restrictions.
To turn off the ringer on your iPad, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center. Tap the Volume button and then tap the Mute button.
To uninstall an app on your iPad, tap and hold the app icon until it wiggles, then tap the X button that appears. Confirm by tapping Delete.
To unlink your iPad and iPhone text messages, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding and turn off your iPad.
To unsync an iPad from an iPhone, open the Settings app on both devices. On the iPad, tap [your name] > iCloud > Find My iPhone. Tap Turn Off and enter your Apple ID password. On the iPhone, tap [your name] > iCloud > Find My iPhone. Tap Sign Out and enter your Apple ID password.
To update apps on your iPad, open the App Store, tap the Updates tab, and then tap the Update button next to any apps that need to be updated.
